The cambio peeled poles are produced more economically. This makes them a cheaper alternative to peeled pine poles. In particular, cambio peeled poles are often used for sheet piling work and projects with submerged sewage systems where the wooden poles are largely placed below the water surface.

Cambio peeled posts

Cambio-peeled stakes are wooden logs from which the bark and cambium layer (the layer directly beneath the bark) have been mechanically removed, but where parts of the bast and bark are still visible. The difference compared to white-peeled stakes is that with cambio-peeling, the blades do not cut deeply, resulting in a mottled, less uniform appearance and less wood loss. Cambio-peeled stakes are therefore a more economical and less processed option than fully white-peeled stakes.

What is cambio peeling?

  • Remove bark and rind:

The peeling knives cut off the bark and the cambium layer of the trunk.

  • Mottled appearance

Because the blades do not cut deeply, remnants of bark and bast remain on the trunk, resulting in a mottled, rustic appearance.

  • More advantageous

Less wood is lost during the process and it is a simpler operation than white peeling, making cambio peeled posts cheaper.

  • Suitable for various applications:

These posts are used for foundation projects, verandas, fences, and playground equipment, among other things, where a rustic appearance is desired.

Difference with white-washed posts:

  • Cut deeper

When using white-peeled logs, the blades cut much deeper into the trunk, also removing part of the sapwood.

  • Even, white appearance:

This ensures an even and completely white appearance of the pole, with no spots or residual bark.

  • Specialist processing:

Peeling is often done in specialised companies and is a more intensive process.
